rain shadow effect and it's effect on our economy

Have you ever considered the rain shadow's effect on our economy.  Consider this, without the rain on the western side, the crops there would not be able to grow.  And without the crops, the west would not be able to make money.  If it rained to much on the east side of the cascades, the snake and columbia rivers would flood.  Therefore miilons of washingtons money would be spent trying to pump out all of the water.  Obvioulsy the rain shadow effect is important to the economy of washington state.

Most Important Geological Process of Washington State

I believe the most impacting geological process of Washington State was the actions of the Okanogan Lobe.  I belive this because it completly blocked the columbian river.  It also created the palouse falls, and the Columbia platuo.  It also carved out most of Washington.  Clearly the Okanogna Lobe was the most important geological process of Washington State.
